The set includes a variety of little extras, such as a fire engine with a moving ladder, which adds to the fun and playability of the set. One of the highlights of this set is the option to add Power Function parts to motorize the train. While not required, many reviewers have found this to be a great addition, making it even more enjoyable to play with. Some customers have mentioned that the Power Function parts may remove some of the color from the train, but this is hardly noticeable.
