Question:
What does this product offer that cheap ole concrete can´t do?
Answer: Secure Set will last for more than 25 years without rot or corrosion, unlike concrete which deteriorates at ground level within 7 to 10 years. It is also easy to handle, requires less time to mix and apply, and protects your post from air and water, which prevents it from weakening. -
Question:
Will secure set work after it is set when later it rains heavy?
Answer: Yes. Secure Set is a closed cell foam that will not allow water or air to pass through it. As soon as it stops the expansion, which is within 5 minutes, it will not absorb any water. Posts will be totally protected below ground. -
Question:
How do you clean the mixer for the next batch?
Answer: You can´t clean the blade. Once the 2 chemicals mix, it sticks to everything. They include 2 mixers in the kit though, and you can use the same one for a couple of times before the blades are too covered to mix properly. -

Can you ship through postal services to Botswana?
Answer: No, Secure Set ships via FedEx or UPS only. You can email us with your full address, and we will verify shipping prices for you. -

Would this work for a batting cage?
Answer: Yes. You only need 2 inches of foam around the post, but the depth depends on the height of the post, so a general rule for this type of post would be 1/4 of the overall height in the ground. -
Question:
Can this be used between pavers?
Answer: No. Polymeric sand should be used to put between pavers. Secure Set mixes and pours as a liquid, then expands to 2x or more its size to fill the post hole and hardens to set the post. -

Would it work for deck posts?
Answer: Yes. Deck posts can also be set with Secure Set for decks up to 4 to 5 feet above the ground. Ensure that you set the posts deep enough and that you cross-brace the vertical deck posts. -
Question:
Is this biodegradable or recyclable?
Answer: No. Once the two components are mixed, the resulting product is basically a closed cell inert plastic. Polyurethanes are used in virtually every industry and are non-biodegradable since they are designed to be a 'Long Term' structural grade closed cell product. -
Question:
I need to install a 6’ fence with 15 posts, how much material do I need?
Answer: The amount of material you will need depends on the diameter and height of the posts you are using. You can use the calculator tool on secureset.net to figure out your project needs per hole and per the total project.
