      Answer: Yes, I have been using my expedition filters in my ceradyn gravity filter for about 5 months now without any problems.

      Answer: Sorry, I’m not sure which candle is the N4.
    • Question: Does this filter come with the wing nut and washer? Is the wing nut made of stainless steel or plastic?

      Answer: No, the replacement candle Ceramic filter that I received did not have a wing nut and washer with it. The original is stainless steel. You can find suitable replacement wing nuts and washers in specialist bolt and nut stores.
    • Question: Is this the replacement filter for the katadyn pocket filter?

      Answer: No, this is for the Katadyn Expedition. You can find the replacement filter for the Katadyn pocket filter by searching 'katadyn pocket replacement filter' on Google.
    • Question: Is this the 1040 filter? Does it come with gaskets 20674 4 and 6? Thanks

      Answer: Yes, it is the 1040 filter and it ships with the cartridge (candle) filter only. It does not come with gaskets or any other fittings.
    • Question: Is the threaded stem metal or plastic? (The threaded stems on plastic Kayadyn filters break very easily.)

      Answer: The threaded stem on the replacement element is metal and very robust. After 15 years of using the Expedition model in very rugged circumstances, there were no problems at all.
