Reference Editorial Review
The Dekiru Nihongo shokyu avec CD textbook offers a mixed experience for Japanese language learners. The content of the book itself is deemed inadequate by some reviewers, as it lacks explanations and relies heavily on hand-drawn pictures and Japanese script for speaking practice. This can make it challenging for beginners without additional learning support. Additionally, the use of CD-ROMs in a time where CD players are becoming obsolete raises concerns among customers who were hoping for digital downloads. However, the textbook does have some positive aspects. It is Considered suitable for beginners and provides various dialog examples for listening, reading, and speaking practice. The inclusion of three CD-ROMs with audio files, as well as internet links for audio file downloads, is seen as a useful feature. The availability of additional written dialog scenarios for download further enhances the usefulness of the book. On the downside, some customers express dissatisfaction with the voices in the audio files, stating that they sound too juvenile. Additionally, the absence of explanations for grammar points and speech patterns is seen as a drawback, requiring learners to seek additional support. Overall, while the Dekiru Nihongo shokyu avec CD textbook has some positive elements, such as its suitability for beginners and the provision of audio files and dialog scenarios, its lack of explanations and reliance on hand-drawn pictures may make it less effective for self-study.
