Answer: I'm not sure if you can. On mine, it doesn't stay on. -

How do you turn it on? I have put batteries in it and connected to mains but nothing is happening!
Answer: It sounds faulty, as I just plug it in to work. -

Does the time show permanently or only when charging?
Answer: The time only shows when the clock is plugged into the mains with a USB charging adapter. The AAA batteries retain the time setting when the power is off, but the display only shows the time for a couple of seconds if the power is disconnected. Please note that the display is incredibly bright and does not dim much. It will light up a dark room.
