Mastering PostgreSQL 13: Build, administer, and maintain database applications efficiently with PostgreSQL 13, 4th Edition

The "Mastering PostgreSQL 13: Build, administer, and maintain database applications efficiently with PostgreSQL 13, 4th Edition" book has received mixed reviews from customers. One positive review appreciated the comprehensive coverage of PostgreSQL and found the book well-written with clear explanations. However, another critical review highlighted several issues. The reviewer felt that the book did not provide a deeper understanding of PostgreSQL as expected, contained trivial observations, and had a focus on advertising the author's business and other books, potentially compromising the quality and credibility of the content. The reviewer particularly criticized the replication chapter for being superficial and pushing readers towards additional resources without providing sufficient information in the book itself. Furthermore, the book was noted to lack coverage of important parts of the PostgreSQL ecosystem, making it incomplete for someone aiming to master the subject. While the book does offer executable code examples, the layout was deemed inConsistent, and system responses were not always well-presented, especially in the Kindle version. The reviewer acknowledged the author's knowledge of PostgreSQL but felt that their writing did not effectively convey the material. In conclusion, while some readers may benefit from the content and organization of the book, others have found it lacking in depth, focus, and relevance to mastering PostgreSQL effectively. **
