Retrospec Longboards 4068 Editorial Review
The Retrospec Rift Drop-Through Longboard has garnered a mixed reception among customers, particularly those purchasing it for beginner riders. On the positive side, many users appreciate its solid Construction and overall quality, especially for the price. Parents report that their teenage children are thrilled with the purchase, highlighting the board's lightweight and responsive features as enjoyable for newcomers to skateboarding. However, there are notable concerns regarding specific components of the longboard. Some users have pointed out that while the deck itself appears satisfactory for beginners, the overall quality falls short of professional standards. Issues have been reported with the wheels not specifying hardness, bearings that do not last long, and the need to adjust trucks for optimal performance. The wood quality also left something to be desired. There are significant complaints about the grip tape, which seems to have performance issues right from the start. Reports of the tape loosening and bubbling within the first week of use are common, prompting some customers to seek additional costs for repairs at skate shops. In summary, the Retrospec Rift Drop-Through Longboard serves as a solid starting point for new skateboarders, providing an entry-level experience that is enjoyable and easy to handle. However, Prospective buyers are advised to Consider future upgrades or alternatives if they wish to invest in a long-lasting, high-performance board. **
