Some important features referred to by the book are "not yet available," or not mentioned at all. Nonetheless, this book is still helpful for those who need to use OpenSSL for some reason. It saves months of spinning wheels, but one has to combine the book with library documentation and the source for the OpenSSL command-line tools. For experienced C/C++ developers, this is an easy-to-read book with a lot of code examples. It is an educational instrument for the vast majority of programmers developing secure applications who use OpenSSL directly or indirectly.
