Programming Languages Editorial Review
The Build Your Own BASIC: From Scratch From Scratch Series book seems to have received mixed reviews from customers. One customer mentions they had issues with the book, particularly because it assumes knowledge from the author's previous work on an FPGA based processor. They found the book unsuitable for beginners and intolerable for more advanced programmers, criticizing the unusual method of describing the processor and the numerous errors. They also expressed disappointment in the author's lack of response to their attempts to address the presented issues. On a positive note, another customer expressed enthusiasm, calling the book "Nectar from the gods" and mentioning how they had been looking for it for a long time. Additionally, a German-speaking customer provided a positive review, stating that the two books on CPU design and Basic are well written and provide deep insights into hardware design, programming languages, and FPGA.
