- Ideal guide when using a chainsaw mill. Can be used with any horizontally-oriented mill on logs of any diameter. Cutting length is limited by length of 2 x 4s. Once 2 x 4s have been drilled, slide carriage bolts through 2 × 4 and into slot in bracket. Use forming nails (included) to secure bracket to log once apparatus has been leveled. When you're using a chainsaw mill, your first cut must be level and smooth. Slabbing rail brackets guide you through clean, precise cuts.
