Everbilt 1/3 HP Automatic Utility Pump HPEBAU33

The Everbilt HPEBAU33 Automatic Utility Pump is a submersible pump that is suitable for use in a sump pit with a depth of about 16 inches. It comes with a power cord that should not be altered or replaced, as this could result in electric shock. It does not come with the bypass valve that is supplied when new, and there is no way to change the shut-off level. If the pump runs continuously without pumping water, it could be air-locked, and the hose connection at the top of the pump should be loosened slightly to release air. This pump is not battery powered and cannot be adjusted to lower the height of the water level to start pumping. Customer experiences with this product have mixed feedback. One customer had success using the pump to move water from their driveway. However, the pump was not as powerful as they would have liked and was prone to tipping over due to the hose attachment being straight up. They recommend investing in a 90-degree adapter. Another customer had an issue with the auto switch failing after just one year, making the pump useless to them. They do not plan on purchasing another pump from this company.
