Camera Lucida, considered one of the two masterpieces of photography literature, is also Roland Barthes' most individual and fictional work. While Camera Lucidada sought answers to the question of what photography is, he also revealed the relationship between photography and death - perhaps his own approaching death. Barthes died shortly after completing the book. This confusion and dilemma, revealed by my passion for writing on photography, was actually related to a problem I constantly suffered: the distress of being a subject who was thrown between two languages, one narrator and the other critical.
