These great narratives contain traces of opposites such as good-bad, right-wrong, courage-fear, love-hate, life-death, and derive their strength and permanence from the conflicts between these opposites. The epics that have been read for thousands of years and have deeply influenced modern literature are the most important examples of these. In this series, we bring together epics adapted for children and young people and enriched with drawings with their readers.The Iliad describes the last two months of the Trojan War between the Achaeans coming from Greece and the Trojans living near today's Çanakkale. The gods often intervene in this war, which started because of a choice and lasted for ten years. Although this great work, which contains strong traces on heroism, courage, the value of life and the destructiveness of war, dates back approximately three thousand years, it is still read all over the world.
